April 3 Bunny Express Train
All aboard the Bunny Express at the Colorado Railroad Museum. The day before Easter, let the rocking of the rails transport you into spring. The Easter Bunny will even be making a special appearance. April 6 - May 11 Painting Watercolors with Janet Nunn
This class is a great chance to refresh your understanding of painting with watercolors or wanting to experiment with new techniques such as tips on blending and building color, using masking elements and much more. The class is perfect for watercolorists of all abilities from beginner to advance. Enjoy painting a new lesson each week. April 7 Historic and Pre-historic Tour of Golden by Bicycle
We will visit sites of walled Indian settlements from over 6000 years ago. We will also see the dinosaur footprints in the city golf course and visit where Berthoud and Loveland lived, plus much, much more.  A slow-paced 15-mile historic tour by bike will start at 9:59 a.m. sharp...come early to be ready.  Free ride; donations accepted for museum.  Golden Oldy Cyclery, 17224 West 17th Place.  There will be an Open House of the Sustainable Museum of Sustainable Transportation afterward. This is the only "Carbon Negative" museum in the world...and the only museum focused upon sustainable transportation and sustainable lifestyles. Wear helmets for safety! April 10 Let Loose With Color with Kathy Beekman
Kathy will show you what it takes to let loose with color and successfully create a powerful work of art. Learn to step away from the use of pleasant but dull colors and dive fearlessly into the use of wonderfully pure color. Kathy's approach to painting is easy to understand and students will take home a completed painting. April 10 The American Mountaineering Museum's Hall of Mountaineering Excellence Gala and Induction Ceremony
Please join us for a spectacular night for the first annual Hall of Mountaineering Excellence awards gala, as we honor significant individuals in mountaineering's past and present. The night will include fine dining, entertainment, a program honoring the first inductees into the Hall of Mountaineering Excellence and special guest speaker Ed Viesturs.

The American Mountaineering Museum will induct four members into the new Hall of Mountaineering Excellence celebrating the lives and achievements of American climbers Yvon Chouinard, Robert Craig, Robert Bates, and Dr. Charles Houston.

April 10, 11 Tea Time at the Astor House - Music through the Decades
For more than 10 years, 4-Ever More, a female a capella singing group, has entertained audiences by combining beautiful harmonies with historical narration. This April, the ladies return with a new show, Music through the Decades. Over its 105-year working life, the Astor House saw many guests and boarders, and each passing generation brought with it new forms of entertainment. Find out what’s “key” when singing a capella and join us as 4-Ever More conducts the audience through history as they perform everything from barbershop to jazz.

Enjoy luncheon or dessert tea with this dramatic performance. Saturday, Luncheon 11:30 a.m. & Just Desserts 3:00 p.m.; Sunday, Luncheon 11:30 a.m. & Just Desserts 3:00 p.m.  Luncheon is a full meal of tea, scones, finger sandwiches, salad and desserts ($25). Just Desserts treats you to tea, scones and desserts ($15). Teas served at the Astor House Museum, 822 12th Street. Members receive a discount. Tickets are non-refundable.
