Blacksmith Day
Golden had a local blacksmith as early as 1859, so
why stop now? Join the "smithies" at the Clear Creek
History Park in our shop, and watch them craft metal
into useful, everyday items. 10:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m. Free. Donations greatly appreciated.

Clear Creek History Park - Opening Day
Event includes a pie-baking contest where dozens of
homemade pies will be competing for the blue ribbon
and a $30 prize for 1st place overall.
The pie-baking contest will be judged by local
personalities, and you may get a chance to sample a
pie at the event. To register and submit your pie,
call Golden History Museums at 303-278-3557 or stop
by 923 10th Street and fill out a registration form.
There's a new contest each hour, so stop by to test
your skills at any of these exciting competitions.
Activities include an egg toss, nail driving
contest, ring toss, and sling shot target practice.
